Expecting Babies Thursday

Looks like the Moolla Triplets are going to make their debut on Thursday, September 18th. The babies are still doing well. I am resting as much as possible while I can. I will keep you all posted.

Big Enough vs Old Enough

We had another ultrasound of the babies. They are all nice and big.
Baby A 4 lb 15 oz
Baby B 4 lb 11 oz
Baby C 4 lb 12 oz
Now they just need to get older so that they are mature enough to breathe and eat on their own. Thanks to all for all the well wishes!

Hospitalized - DAY 18

It looks like I will really be a permanent resident at the hospital until the babies arrive. I am 32 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Originally we hoped I would make it until 33 weeks. The doctor thinks I may be able to last a couple more weeks which would be much better for the babies, of course.

At this point all we know is that the babies will likely come sometime between Sept 3 and Sept 30.

We are starting to gather volunteers. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering to help with the babies or other things like cooking a meal.

Baby A 3 lb 10 oz
Baby B 3 lb 14 oz
Baby C 3 lb 9 oz

Strict Bedrest

I have been in the hospital twice this week. I went in Thursday with contractions and they kept me overnight. I needed to return Saturday, again with contractions. Luckily I only needed to stay for the evening. I am now on strict bedrest at home. (earlier I was on bedrest, but allowed to get up at times) If I can make it at least another 3 weeks until I deliver the babies would be 33 weeks, and would have a great prognosis. More would be better. In the meantime, I am very uncomfortable and I cannot really do anything except wait.

Thanks to Karen D. and Shelly D. for bringing meals this week. I cannot cook anymore and as many of you know I have a whole tribe over here to feed. I am grateful for all of you are are praying for us. The babies are doing very well.

Getting Bigger, Not Gaining Weight

I went for another check-up yesterday. My belly is getting a lot bigger, but I did not gain any more weight. On the prior visit I gained just one pound. The doctor told me not to worry about it for now, but to start eating more frequently. The babies are pushing up on my stomach so I feel full all the time.

New Pictures

We have lots of good news. The latest ultrasound showed that all of the babies are doing great. They are all growing well and are all the size that single babies would be at this age, which is quite amazing!

Baby Names That Start With "Z"

We still don't know if we are having boys or girls or both yet. We are starting to think about names. Six names (first and middle for each) is a lot! If you have any name suggestions that start with "Z", please click on comments and let us know.

Another Great Ultrasound

This ultrasound, taken Monday 4/14/08 shows babies B and C layng right next to each other and Baby A on the other side of my tummy. For some reason the pictures are scanning small. If I figure out how to make them bigger, I'll change it. If anyone has any tips on trying to crop the scanned picture, please respond under comments.

Coupons

If any of you a regular coupon clipper, please keep your eyes open for me! I can use coupons for any brand of diapers and also any brand of formula. Not only can I use the coupons toward the purchase of those specific items, but I can also take the ones I can't use and trade them for hand me down clothes and other baby gear from other moms.

Good News / Bad News

Friday we had quite a scare! I was hospitalized due to severe bleeding. The good news is that the bleeding slowed down after 4 hours and all three babies still have heartbeats. The problem was caused by part of Baby A's sac starting to separate from the wall of the womb. I have been put on bedrest for one week in the hopes that baby A will fully reattach to the wall. We would like to thank those of you who volunteered to come over to the house to help look after the little ones this week. Also, thanks to those of you who have offered to cook a meal. We are still looking for volunteers. Please call if you have a few hours you can donate or if you would like to cook. We need all the help we can get! Please keep us all in your prayers.

We're Looking For a Van.

Our current truck seats 8 and we are growing out of it fast. We have difficulty squeezing all of the kids plus groceries into the current vehicle. If any of you have a lead on a 15 passenger van or possibly a 15 passenger mini bus, please let us know. We are willing to travel outside of Wisconsin to pick it up if necessary.

Boy, Boy, Boy - Girl, Girl, Girl - Boy, Girl, Boy

Take the poll located in the upper right hand corner of this page and let us know what you think we'll have. So far babies A, B, and C have not been identified as male or female. We are all very excited to find out. What do you think? Let us know!

Three Beating Hearts

I had a wonderful ultrasound today. In the photo you can see the babies are labeled A,B, and C. I guess that's what they'll be known as until we know more about them! All three had good heart rates and their sizes were nice as well. We are all very grateful to have made it past 8 weeks.

The Morning Sickness is Fierce.

It is Monday morning and I am now 7 weeks pregnant. The morning sickness is fierce. I am trying every home remedy I can think of in order to avoid medication for the condition. Anyone have any suggestions? I may have overlooked even the most obvious remedies. Please comment if you have any ideas.

First Post on Our New Site

As many of you know we are pregnant with triplets. My purpose for creating this blog is twofold. Firstly I'd like a way to update friends and relatives about my pregnancy and birth. Secondly, I'd like to be able to provide others who are having triplets with links to fun and interesting sites and info I find while researching the topic of triplets.
